A Form of Authorization, or FOA, is the email that is sent to the registered name holder when a domain transfer is initiated. The FOA email from Uniregistry has ‘Transfer Request Authorization from Uniregistrar Corp – [Domain Name]’ as the subject and is sent to the domain name’s registrant of record as listed in the WHOIS database. The registrant must authorize the transfer request by clicking the ‘Approve transfer’ button in the email. This mandatory security step helps prevent domain name transfers without the registrant’s knowledge and consent.
- When many domain names in a batch are registered to the same contact email, only one FOA will be sent listing all of the domains.
- If WHOIS privacy is active we recommend disabling it to ensure the FOA gets delivered as efficiently as possible.
- You must agree to the Uniregistry Registration Agreement and click ‘Begin Transfer’ to proceed.
